Part-Time Transportation
About The Position
Spring Arbor is seeking a part-time Transportation Driver to transport residents to appointments, errands, and outings on a set schedule. The role is more than driving: it involves helping residents travel safely and comfortably, offering friendly conversation, and treating each rider with warmth, respect, and confidentiality. The driver also helps residents board and exit the shuttle, including using its wheelchair lift, and may walk residents inside and wait with them for family when needed. The driver keeps the shuttle road-ready by fueling and cleaning it, tracking mileage, checking safety and emergency equipment, and reporting vehicle issues to the Maintenance Director. Additional duties include signing residents in and out of the building, maintaining accurate transportation logs, attending team meetings and trainings, and helping orient new hires. The listed schedule is 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for 25 hours; weekends are free.
