About The Position

Under supervision, the specialist determines all pupil transportation routes using transportation software programs, assists in scheduling and assigning bus drivers, and assists the dispatcher as needed. Assigns drivers work, schedules trips, and assists in the daily operation of the transportation department. The employee has extensive knowledge of transportation operating procedures and is proficient in the use of transportation software.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Formal education in modern business office practices.
• Experience with fleet operations or student or public transportation.
• Experience or formal training in Versatrans preferred.
• Valid Washington State driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Must be eligible to obtain Washington CDL.
• Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain current First Aid/CPR certification.
