About The Position

IAA, an RB Global Inc. company, is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to join our corporate team in the Greater Toronto area. Reporting to the Senior Transportation Manager for Canada, this position is responsible for assisting the department manager to identify and develop continuous improvement procedures, systems training, and compliance to support the transportation process is critical for success. In addition, you must know, practice, and ensure that company policies are always followed. You will collaborate with other departments and employees from the auctions and Corporate Offices in the US and Canada. Perform all duties assigned by the Transportation Manager. We are looking for: As a Transportation Coordinator, you will work as part of our transportation team, supporting the administrative tasks related to our transportation services. This includes data entry into company systems, assisting with vendor management, sourcing new providers, and compliance. You are: Organized. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can stay organized when managing multiple tasks. Meticulous. You will ensure a high degree of accuracy in your tasks, in accordance with our customer and company requirements. Collaborative. You will support the Senior Transportation Manager with the day to day, and willing to jump in where needed to assist.

Requirements

  • 3 years’ experience in logistics or general administration
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • must reside in the Greater Toronto area

  • Strong project management experience with attention to detail
  • Confident ability to communicate with vendors and internal associates.

Responsibilities

  • Weekly review to monitor and improve service level agreement (SLA) with service providers.
  • Review vendor compliance with mandatory Tow App usage.
  • Train vendors on the Tow App. Trouble shoot issues.
  • Complete Tow Vendor Updates requested by the branches.
  • Run Monthly Fuel Surcharge/Tow Cost Adjustment Reports.
  • Assist with managing TSSEA document compliance.
  • Assist with Vendor Compliance.
  • Source additional tower capacity (cold calling).
  • Data entry/branch and tower specific rates.
  • Assist with International Theft Recoveries when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
