About The Position

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Transportation Coordinator (Driver) to join their team. This full-time role operates on a Sunday-Thursday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The Transportation Coordinator is essential for providing a structured, reliable, and resident-focused transportation program. Beyond driving, the role involves coordinating transportation, scheduling, communicating with residents, and offering operational support within the community.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be 21 years of age.
Minimum of 3 years of licensed driving experience.
Valid state Driver’s License (Class E in Missouri) and Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Ability to safely operate passenger vehicles, buses, and mobility lift systems while assisting residents with mobility needs.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with older adults, transportation, or coordination preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides transportation services during scheduled work hours, including coverage of designated medical transportation days (Tuesday and Thursday).
Safely operates community vehicles to provide medical, recreational, and personal transportation to residents.
Enters and manages transportation requests in the digital transportation management system, ensuring schedules are accurate and aligned with community transportation guidelines and availability.
Maintains vehicle readiness by completing routine inspections and ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
Supports the Entertainment & Programming team with scheduled outings and events, including planning, logistics, resident participation, and adherence to safety protocols and return schedules.
During non-driving hours, provides community support as needed, including programming, interdepartmental support, and other operational tasks, maintaining consistent productivity throughout scheduled work hours.
