About The Position

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking a qualified and experienced Transportation Construction Inspector for highway, bridge, and other infrastructure projects in Southeastern Pennsylvania. This role involves applying standard inspection procedures to construction activities on behalf of clients like PennDOT, PA Turnpike, and other local agencies, ensuring structural quality, general safety, and conformance to plans, specifications, and codes. Immigration sponsorship is not available, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.

Requirements

• Experience as a Transportation Construction Inspector.
• Ability to review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications, and construction methods.
• Proficiency in measuring dimensions and verifying level, alignment, and elevation.
• Experience making field notes and computations.
• Familiarity with gathering, reviewing, and maintaining project records.
• Experience with PennDOT ECMS and other systems.
• Ability to witness routine sampling and tests on concrete, soils, and other materials.
• Knowledge of legal requirements and safety regulations in construction.
• Understanding of plans and codes related to transportation infrastructure.

Responsibilities
