May serve as the project lead technician, as needed under the general supervision of the Resident Engineer (RE) or Project Supervisor. Monitoring contract compliance in regard to ADOT standard specifications, standard drawings, and project specific plans and special provisions. Assists project supervisor in the review of construction submittments, material certs, and documentation. Provides direction, coaching, & mentoring to lower level inspectors. Assist the Project Supervisor in scheduling, monitoring , and mentoring inspection staff. Receives, reviews, and disseminates all material test results, including but not limited to asphalt, concrete, aggregate, and earthwork. Assists with road block/traffic control, plowing (voluntary), or working dispatch as needed to assist the inclement or winter weather. This position requires driving a State vehicle.
