About The Position

As a transportation clerk, you’ll be part of our team located in Jackson, TN. You’ll get to: Perform wave planning of orders using Warehouse Management System (WMS) Run TPS schedules and release routed shipments to WMS Utilize JDA for transportation planning and execution tasks Generate daily, weekly, and monthly transportation reports Book and assign backhaul truckload shipments Book and assign collect shipments via customer web-based applications Respond to customer service inquiries regarding shipments Track shipments and resolve any delays Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in an automated distribution environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and Internet Explorer
• Experience operating standard office equipment (fax, copier, printer, postage meter, etc.)
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies preferred
• Experience with WMS, SAP, LMS, TPS, and JDA systems preferred
