About The Position
KEITH is seeking a Transportation Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in its Orlando, Florida office. The intern will gain knowledge of fundamental engineering processes, construction methods, and permitting while contributing to the planning, design, production, and construction of engineering projects for private- and public-sector clients. The internship is paid.
Requirements
- Be in the process of obtaining a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Have a proactive, enthusiastic, self-starting attitude and a drive to learn.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be able to work with clients and colleagues at all levels.
Responsibilities
- Learn CAD design and drafting using MicroStation, ORD, and AutoCAD.
- Learn transportation and roadway design, traffic analysis, and utility design.
- Perform engineering calculations, data research, and analysis.
- Coordinate activities with other disciplines, both internally and externally.
- Participate in and contribute to design and production meetings.
- Research, evaluate, compile, and prepare materials for permit applications.
- Participate in site visits.
