About The Position

The Driver is responsible for providing transportation services to CILE Senior Living residents. Supports the mission, vision, and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting company culture and vision. Assists residents with any special needs during transportation, e.g., carrying packages, opening doors, assisting residents in and out of vehicles, etc. Provides miscellaneous pickup and delivery services as needed. Responsible for maintenance and appearance of designated vehicles. Coordinates routine preventive maintenance as directed. Maintains all tools, equipment, and supplies. Maintains and protects the confidentiality of resident information. Communicates any observed or suspected resident change in condition to a supervisor immediately. Maintains a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards. Encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments. Supports a positive and professional image through actions and dress. Attends training courses at community and maintains up to date monthly, quarterly, annual training through designated Learning Management System (LMS). Attend all required all staff meetings. Other duties as assigned, and which relate to the success of the community and the care, comfort, and happiness of our residents.

Requirements

  • Previous experience driving a bus with wheelchair lift.
  • Experience working with seniors.
  • Valid and applicable state drivers’ license and no major driving violations for the past three (3) years.
  • First aid and CPR certification may be required.
  • Must have strong understanding of the English language sufficient to read and write.
  • Must be able to read clearly with or without corrective lenses.
  • Must be able to hear with or without hearing aid devices to ensure safety while transporting in a vehicle.
  • Must be able to continuously walk and stand.
  • Must be able to perform work both inside and outside.
  • Constantly lift 0-10 pounds, frequently 11 – 50 pounds, occasionally 51 – 100 pounds.
  • Constantly carry 0-10 pounds, frequently 11 – 50 pounds, occasionally 51 – 100 pounds.
  • Constantly push 0-10 pounds, frequently 11 – 50 pounds, occasionally 51 – 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb stairs on a frequent basis, with the opportunity to utilize the elevator as an alternate resource if available.
  • Must be able to bend at the waist, knees, hips, and spine on a frequent basis; may require frequently manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more.
  • Must be able to squat on a frequent basis to reach below the knee, may require lifting of 50 pounds or less.
  • Must be able to twist or rotate occasionally at the trunk, hips, knees, and neck, manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more.
  • Must be able to reach on a frequent basis. May occasionally reach overhead, requiring manipulation of weight of 10 pounds or less, and below waist manipulating weight of 25 pounds or more.
