About The Position

This position will manage the daily traffic operations of all assigned Tyson facilities. The role requires the ability to work independently, make cost-effective decisions without supervision, and manage time effectively. It involves prioritizing multiple tasks, deadlines, and issues without direct supervision, and utilizing various systems, including AI, to streamline work processes. Effective communication with other business units, customers, and sales teams is crucial to ensure awareness of issues and updates. The role also includes following up on late deliveries with carriers, working with sales, carriers, and plants to minimize costs associated with detention claims, unloading, and related delivery problems, and monitoring carrier performance to ensure customer and plant service. Additionally, the position involves providing equipment as needed by the plant to ensure continuous loading and consistency with sales requirements, and acting as a liaison between Tyson Customer Service and carriers to develop programs that will enhance Tyson's market position.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred.
  • 1 plus years’ experience.
  • Distribution/logistics experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Microsoft Word.
  • Excel a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and follow through with priorities.
  • Demonstrate good problem-solving skills.
