About The Position

This position will manage the daily traffic operations of all assigned Tyson facilities. The role involves utilizing several systems, including AI, to streamline work processes, communicating effectively with various stakeholders, and monitoring carrier performance to ensure customer and plant service. The associate will also provide equipment as needed by the plant to ensure continuous loading and consistency with sales requirements, confirm loads with carriers, and act as a liaison between sales and carriers to develop programs that enhance Tyson's market position. Utilizing automated systems to identify late loads and communicate with affected parties is also a key function.

Requirements

  • Requires a HS diploma and broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field; Education beyond HS preferred.
  • 3 plus years of experience or advanced degree with 1 plus years of Truck traffic experience preferred.
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Office Sessions RR sites and TES programs preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Individual must be highly detail orientated.
  • Must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills along with the ability to work well on their own and in a team setting fostering a positive goal-oriented environment.

  • Education beyond HS preferred.
  • 1 plus years of Truck traffic experience preferred.
  • TES programs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily traffic operations of all assigned Tyson facilities.
  • Utilize several systems along AI to streamline work processes.
  • Communicate effectively with other business units, customers and sales to ensure everyone is aware of issues and updates.
  • Follow-up on all late deliveries with carriers.
  • Work with sales carriers and plants to minimize costs associated with detention claims unloading and related delivery problems.
  • Monitor carrier performance to ensure customer and plant service.
  • Provide equipment as needed by plant to ensure continuous loading and consistency with sales requirements.
  • Confirm all loads with carriers and be the liaison between sales and carriers to develop programs that will enhance Tysons position in the market place.
  • Utilize automated systems and tools to identify late loads and communicate to all affected parties.
