Warehousing Area Manager - Logistics (Corporate 412 West)
About The Position
This position is responsible for the smooth flow of refrigerated, frozen, and blast products to Outside Cold Storages and from Outside Cold Storages to the customer. This includes coordinating with production facilities, production planning, sales, transportation, and other departments on blast, exports, overflow, WIP, redistribution, and other aspects of the supply chain. This position must make sure each facility is adequately staffed to perform the requirements needed to handle current orders scheduling and assisting with the physical inventory at various Cold Storages and helping negotiate rates for which our products will be stored. Other responsibilities include reviewing invoices and approving payment, traveling to Cold Storage locations to ensure program in place is working as expected and assisting in decisions concerning geographical availability of products that need to be stored. Other duties include coordinating with Sales, Transportation, Inventory, and Production facilities to ensure customer requirements are met and performing other responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 plus years of distribution transportation related experience.
- Standard computer skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Supervisory skills: This position is responsible for managing several groups of personnel who perform diverse tasks and activities in more than one department.
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
