About The Position
NV5 is seeking a Transportation Assistant Engineer for our Alpharetta, GA office. The Transportation EIT will provide engineering design, calculations, CAD support, and project assistance for the Transportation Design group.
Requirements
- BS in Civil Engineering
- 0-3 years of previous roadway design or other transportation engineering experience
- EIT Certification required
- Knowledge of Microstation and Inroads/Openroads software a plus
- Must be willing to travel on occasion
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license prior to employment is preferred
- Engineer In Training

- Knowledge of Microstation and Inroads/Openroads software
Responsibilities
- Complete roadway design plans under the direct supervision of a professional engineer.
- Work alone and in small groups.
- Use MicroStation and Inroads/OpenRoads software.
- Assist engineers and designers in the development and production of engineering plans and specifications on a variety of transportation projects.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with familiarity with Microsoft Products such as Excel and Outlook
