Experienced Transportation Analyst (Traffic Management)
About The Position
Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Transportation Analyst (Level 3) to join our Global Warehousing & Logistics (GWL) Transportation team in Des Moines, WA. This role promotes a safe work environment, plans and executes domestic and export shipments in compliance with ITAR and EAR regulations, and engages collaboratively with the team to achieve business goals. The analyst will foster continuous improvement, identify work statement changes, support the development of Statements of Work, and propose process improvements. They will also support transportation projects, investigate root cause analysis on logistics initiatives, develop relationships with service providers, and drive organizational integration and change management. The role involves navigating complex situations, driving efficient solutions, and partnering with leaders to develop logistics strategy.
Requirements
- More than 3 years of experience in Domestic and International Supply Chain Logistics
- More than 3 years of experience working with import and export licenses and regulations for maintaining compliance with transportation regulations for international and domestic shipments
- More than 3 years of experience with enterprise shipping systems
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

- More than 3 years of experience with freight forwarding and/or transportation modes: FTL, LTL, International & Domestic Air Freight, Ocean, Small Parcel
- More than 3 years of experience with BESSy (Boeing Enterprise Shipping System)
- More than 3 years of experience leading teams through process and change management
- More than 1 years of experience developing presentations for and presenting to executive leadership

- Initiates loss and damage claims to carriers and supports claims investigations

- Identifies work statement changes and capacity surges, ensuring operational efficiency and timely completion of established goals

- Proposes changes to standardized work to improve processes, demonstrating a proactive approach to enhancing efficiency and ownership of outcomes
- Supports transportation projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and alignment with organizational goals
- Investigates and performs root cause analysis on complex logistics initiatives and recommends business solutions relating to transportation and logistics practices, processes and procedures
- Develops and cultivates relationships with service providers, suppliers, stakeholders, peers and business partners for collaborative solutions
- Demonstrates strength in taking complex business challenges and creating and executing streamlined solutions
- Drives and manages organizational integration and change management with positive results
- Navigates through complex situations and drives to efficient, effective and timely solutions
- Partners with leaders across multiple teams to develop logistics strategy to meet organizational objectives
