About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Transportation Analyst (Level 3) to join our Global Warehousing & Logistics (GWL) Transportation team in Des Moines, WA. The analyst will plan and execute domestic and export shipments in compliance with ITAR and EAR regulations, ensuring all documentation and procedures meet legal and organizational standards. They will engage collaboratively with the team to achieve business goals, ensuring alignment with Boeing's strategic objectives and positively contributing to Boeing’s priorities and strategy. The role also involves complying with export regulations and processes, initiating loss and damage claims to carriers, and supporting claims investigations. Fostering an environment of continuous improvement, the analyst will address concerns through systematic problem-solving, reflecting Boeing's values of Trust, Ownership, Innovation and People Focus. Identifying work statement changes and capacity surges to ensure operational efficiency and timely completion of established goals is key. The position supports the development of Statements of Work to secure cost-effective transportation services and proposes changes to standardized work to improve processes, demonstrating a proactive approach to enhancing efficiency and ownership of outcomes. Supporting transportation projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and alignment with organizational goals is also part of the role. The analyst will investigate and perform root cause analysis on complex logistics initiatives and recommend business solutions relating to transportation and logistics practices, processes and procedures. Developing and cultivating relationships with service providers, suppliers, stakeholders, peers and business partners for collaborative solutions is essential. The role requires demonstrating strength in taking complex business challenges and creating and executing streamlined solutions, driving and managing organizational integration and change management with positive results, and navigating through complex situations to drive efficient, effective and timely solutions. Partnering with leaders across multiple teams to develop logistics strategy to meet organizational objectives is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • More than 3 years of experience in Domestic and International Supply Chain Logistics
  • More than 3 years of experience working with import and export licenses and regulations for maintaining compliance with transportation regulations for international and domestic shipments
  • More than 3 years of experience with enterprise shipping systems

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • More than 3 years of experience in data analytics and/or business intelligence
  • More than 3 years of experience in project management
  • More than 3 years of experience with freight forwarding and/or transportation modes: FTL, LTL, International & Domestic Air Freight, Ocean, Small Parcel
  • More than 3 years of experience with BESSy (Boeing Enterprise Shipping System)

  • More than 1 years of experience developing presentations for and presenting to executive leadership
