About The Position

As a Transportation Aide at GISD, you will work alongside the bus driver to ensure the safe, caring, and efficient transportation of students to and from school. You’ll provide direct support to students with varying needs, assist with mobility and safety equipment, and foster a positive and respectful environment during each route. This position requires professionalism, compassion, and a strong commitment to student safety and well-being.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass a physical examination and drug test.
• Demonstrated ability to lift, move, and assist students up to 26 years of age and perform essential job duties safely and effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Additional required training may include oral and tracheal suctioning, Diastat administration, and other student-specific procedures.
