About The Position

The Transportation Aide – CNA safely transports residents to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, and scheduled activities while providing attentive care. The role includes monitoring residents’ safety, comfort, and condition during transport, assisting with mobility and transfers, recording vital signs when needed, and helping with CNA duties in the facility when not transporting residents. Candidates must meet the stated driving, age, certification, and insurance requirements and complete the Employee Driver Proficiency program.

Requirements

• Hold a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
• Be at least 25 years old for insurance requirements.
• Hold a current Nursing Assistant Certification in Texas.
• Pass the DMV check and qualify for company insurance.
• Complete the Employee Driver Proficiency program.
• Demonstrate strong communication, patience, and attention to detail.
• Be comfortable with caregiving and safe vehicle operation.

Responsibilities

• Drive residents to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, and scheduled activities.
• Monitor residents’ safety and comfort throughout transport.
• Observe residents for changes in condition during transport and promptly report concerns.
• Assist residents with ambulation and transfers using assistive devices and proper technique.
• Record vital signs when needed during transport.
• Assist with CNA duties in the facility when not transporting residents.
