About The Position

The Transportation Optimization Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of transportation operations in both local and international divisions. This role plays a crucial part in optimizing logistics processes, reducing costs, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in transportation, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
At least 7 years of experience in transportation management, with extensive experience in domestic and international logistics.
Proven experience in optimizing transportation operations and implementing process improvements.
Strong analytical skills and experience using data analysis tools to guide decision-making.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration and relationship building.
Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance standards in local and international contexts.
Proficiency in MS Office and transportation management systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute transportation strategies that integrate local and international operations to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
Analyze transportation data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement concrete solutions to enhance operational performance.
Collaborate with local dispatch and international coordination teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of transportation activities.
Organize and oversee the planning and optimization of routes, schedules, and resource allocation for all transportation activities, ensuring on-time delivery and regulatory compliance.
Lead continuous process improvement initiatives, leveraging industry best practices, available technology, and innovative solutions to streamline operations.
Maintain strong relationships with external partners, including carriers and suppliers, to negotiate contracts and ensure service quality.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards for all transportation operations.
Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance, fostering a culture of excellence within the transportation teams.
Prepare and present regular reports on transportation performance, cost savings, and operational improvements to senior management.
Perform any other related tasks assigned to support organizational objectives.
