About The Position

The Transport Driver I at Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, drives and positions vehicles across auction grounds and between designated locations. The role involves moving vehicles through sale lanes, staging and parking inventory, helping locate or reposition vehicles, preparing vehicles for movement with basic tasks, and communicating vehicle issues. Drivers provide courteous support to customers and coworkers and follow auction driving procedures, traffic laws, and safety and health procedures. The position is onsite, works Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and may require overtime based on business needs. No previous experience or education is required. Pay is $15.12 per hour, with possible additional compensation such as commission or an incentive program. A pre-employment drug test is required; the company does not currently test for marijuana for this position.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Previous auction experience.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale days and throughout auction grounds, following auction driving procedures, traffic laws, and defensive driving practices.
• Transport vehicles to and from designated areas on auction premises, customer dealerships, and business locations.
• Stage, organize, and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by supervisors or team leaders.
• Help locate misplaced vehicles and move inventory as needed.
• Prepare vehicles for movement by performing basic tasks such as inflating tires and jump-starting vehicles.
• Communicate vehicle issues to appropriate teams.
• Provide helpful, friendly support to customers, dealers, account representatives, rental agencies, and coworkers.
• Follow safety and health procedures and contribute to a culture of safety excellence.
• Work overtime when required by business needs.
