About The Position

The Department of Transplant, Division of Transplant Nephrology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, invites applications for a full-time academic Transplant Nephrologist to join our nationally recognized multidisciplinary transplant program. This position is ideal for physicians completing Transplant Nephrology fellowship training or early-career transplant nephrologists seeking to build a successful academic career within one of the nation’s premier transplant centers. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care for kidney and pancreas transplant candidates and recipients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, participate in multidisciplinary transplant selection conferences, and contribute to the education of nephrology fellows, transplant nephrology fellows, residents, and medical students. Physicians are also encouraged to participate in quality improvement initiatives, program development, and scholarly activities. Areas of active investigation include clinical trials, artificial intelligence, precision transplantation, transplant immunology, big data, health equity, and regenerative medicine. Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Nephrology.
  • Completed (or be completing) Transplant Nephrology fellowship training by the anticipated start date.

Responsibilities
