About The Position
Sunflower is hiring a Transmission Technical Services Intern for Summer 2027 in either Great Bend, KS or Hays, KS. This position offers hands-on experience in collecting and organizing electrical and mechanical data, supporting preliminary design reviews, and participating in field inspections at energized substations. Interns will work alongside a knowledgeable crew, gain experience in the field and office, and contribute to providing reliable energy to central and western Kansas.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in engineering technology, industrial technology, geographic information systems (GIS), or related field.
- Successful completion of the Edison Electric Institute's (EEI) Technician Occupation Selection System (TECH) Test.
