Requirements

Experience as an automotive transmission technician required.
Skilled in performing warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on various vehicle makes and models.
Proven ability to meet or exceed performance goals.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
Positive attitude with high energy and strong customer service skills.
Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions accurately.
Sound judgement and problem-solving abilities.
Valid state driver's license with a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

Factory certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repair work on vehicle transmissions efficiently and according to dealership and factory standards.
Disassemble, diagnose, clean, inspect, and repair transmission components.
Provide accurate labor and time estimates for additional repairs.
Communicate mechanical diagnoses and necessary repairs clearly to service advisors and customers.
Stay updated on new technical information and repair techniques through formal training.
Inspect and test new vehicles, documenting findings to ensure necessary repairs are addressed.
