About The Position

Group 1 Ford of Pensacola is seeking a skilled Transmission Technician to perform vehicle repairs, with a regular focus on repairing and rebuilding transmissions. The role involves inspecting and evaluating vehicles, recommending necessary service and repairs, and safely completing assigned work in accordance with federal, state, manufacturer, and company safety guidelines. The technician must provide Ford certifications and contribute to an exceptional client experience.

Requirements

• Provide Ford certifications.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong desire to provide an exceptional client experience.
• Ability to achieve targeted goals.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 3 years of Ford Automotive Technician experience.
• National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications or certifications in brakes, electrical/electronic systems, or engine performance.
• Tools based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repairs.
• Repair and rebuild transmissions on a regular basis.
• Recommend needed and necessary service and repairs.
• Advise management of damaged or unsafe equipment or tools.
• Safely drive vehicles on pre-established evaluation routes.
• Physically inspect vehicles and identify defects.
• Perform assigned work safely and consistently with federal, state, manufacturer, and company safety guides.
