About The Position

Southern California Edison is hiring a Transmission Planning Manager to perform analytical functions that support the successful execution and construction of SCE projects. The role oversees development and delivery of capital projects and initiatives for large external customers requiring interconnection with the sub-transmission or transmission system. The manager leads cross-functional teams across licensing, engineering, procurement, and construction, and works directly with external customers and their technical and project management staff to coordinate activities, align schedules, and meet customer needs throughout the project lifecycle. The position manages moderately complex projects from initiation through closure, including scope, schedule, and budget. Projects may include electric transmission and distribution work involving wildfire mitigation, infrastructure replacement, load growth, poles, line upgrades, maintenance, or installations. The role also performs complex power-flow and fault-analysis studies to assess transmission-line system impacts and requirements, and facilitates development plans, work packages, testing procedures, and energization sequences. The position is hybrid, with reporting to an SCE facility for a set number of days and remote work on the remaining days. The primary work location is the Santa Ana Service Center, though extended work at alternate locations across SCE’s service territory may be required. The role requires up to 25% travel and field work throughout the service territory. Unless otherwise noted, employees must work and reside in California. Relocation is not offered.
