The Transmission Planning Advisor serves as a lead on multiple highly technical, time-critical, and engineering-sensitive projects. The role plans, designs, and oversees installation of new sub-transmission lines and the realignment of existing easements for third-party relocations, supporting the future development and performance of Southern California Edison’s grid. The advisor develops plans and designs for transmission, sub-transmission, and distribution facilities; identifies resources; and provides cost estimates and construction options. The role manages projects from inception through closeout, coordinating internal teams and serving as the single point of contact for Operations during construction. It also leads planning and system-performance reviews, environmental planning and permitting, budget and schedule monitoring, and risk evaluation. The position includes field inspections, maintenance-project support, circuit mapping, and maintaining accurate digital and geospatial asset records. The position is hybrid, with a primary work location at the Menifee Service Center. The employee reports to an SCE facility for a set number of days and may work remotely on remaining days. California residence and work are required unless otherwise noted. The role may require extended work at alternate locations and up to 25% travel and field work throughout SCE’s service territory. A 9/80 alternate work schedule or a 40-hour, five-day workweek is available. Applicants who advance may be required to take the EEI TECH assessment (Test #5107).
