Transmission EIT/Coordinator
About The Position
HDR Engineering is seeking a Transmission Line EIT/Coordinator to join its Power Delivery team in the Denver, Colorado office. The role focuses on executing technical work and delivering assigned project tasks. The EIT/Coordinator will learn and grow into completing technical requirements for basic- to moderate-complexity transmission line projects, with tasks assigned and mentorship provided by senior staff. Some field work and travel may be required. Candidates without an Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate will be placed in a Design Coordinator job code and are expected to obtain the EIT for career progression.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in HDR's employee-owned culture.
Nice To Haves
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate; candidates without an EIT are expected to obtain it for career progression.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
- Experience using PLS-CADD, structure analysis, project cost estimates, plan and profile preparation, optimization, specifications and drawings, and other engineering documents required for power transmission line projects.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC).
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- Local candidates are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform PLS-CADD modeling and/or calculations.
- Perform routine engineering and design tasks.
- Participate in field reviews or construction observation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
