About The Position

HDR Engineering is seeking a Transmission Line EIT/Coordinator to join its growing, nationally ranked Power Delivery team in the Denver, Colorado office. The role is responsible for executing technical work and deliverables for assigned projects and developing the ability to complete technical requirements for basic- to moderate-complexity transmission line projects. The coordinator will receive task assignments and mentorship from senior staff. Some field work and travel may be required. Candidates without an Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate may be hired under a Design Coordinator job code and are expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office.
• Commitment to being an active participant in HDR's employee-owned culture.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate; candidates hired without an EIT are expected to obtain it for career progression.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm is desired.
• Experience with PLS-CADD, structure analysis, project cost estimates, plan and profile preparation, optimization, specifications, drawings, and other engineering documents for power transmission line projects.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC).
• Preference will be given to local candidates.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform PLS-CADD modeling and/or calculations.
• Perform routine engineering and design tasks.
• Participate in field reviews or construction observation.
• Complete technical work and deliverables for assigned projects, developing toward independent completion of basic- to moderate-complexity transmission line project requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
