About The Position

This role involves the analysis, negotiation, and administration of transmission area contracts. The administrator will manage contract compliance, resolve issues, and maintain contract files and documentation, including confidential information for regulatory hearings and litigation. Responsibilities also include performing accounting settlement functions for invoices related to material and service agreements, analyzing contract-related issues, and supporting pre- and post-construction activities. The position facilitates the negotiation of simple contract amendments, circulates and tracks template agreements for execution, and supports the negotiation of transmission agreements. Continuous evaluation of business processes to improve internal operations, responding to data requests from internal customers, and ensuring appropriate approvals and documentation are maintained are also key aspects of this role. The administrator will enter contract metadata and documents into the system of record and ensure compliance with all applicable policies, codes, and regulations. Related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associates’ degree from an accredited school.
  • Candidates that do not possess an associate’s degree must have 2 years of related work experience.
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge of energy industry or contract administration practices.
  • Demonstrated skills of negotiation, issue resolution, and project leadership.
  • Demonstrated analytical, time management, communication, attention to detail, customer service, and organization skills.
  • Able to multi-task and work in both a team oriented environment and independently.
  • PCs, word processing, spreadsheet and database software.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with a contract management system is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides analysis, negotiation, and administration of transmission area contracts.
  • Manages and resolves contract compliance issues including tracking performance.
  • Maintains contract files and documentation, including confidential information used for regulatory hearings and litigation.
  • Performs the accounting settlement function of material and service related agreement invoices.
  • Performs analysis on contract related issues.
  • Supports pre- and post-construction activities.
  • Facilitates the negotiation of simple contract amendments including date changes and minor scope changes.
  • Circulates and tracks template agreements for execution.
  • Supports the negotiation of transmission agreements.
  • Continually evaluates current business processes and seeks to improve internal operations wherever possible.
  • Responds to data requests submitted by internal customers.
  • Ensures approvals and appropriate documentation are received and maintained as needed.
  • Enters contract metadata and contract documents into system of record.
  • Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
