About The Position

Cando Rail & Terminals is a provider of specialized rail operating services and terminal infrastructure for industrial shippers. The Transload Operator safely loads and unloads railcars while ensuring compliance with operational, environmental, and safety standards. The role involves operating transloading equipment, handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials, performing inspections, completing documentation, and supporting rail operations as needed. This job description is not intended to limit work assignments or provide a complete list of duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Comfort performing physically demanding work, including climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working at heights.
• Must meet customer and regulatory safety requirements, including background screening.

• Industrial or hazardous materials experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload railcars and transfer products.
• Operate transloading equipment, pumps, compressors, conveyors, and mobile equipment.
• Perform inspections, troubleshoot equipment, and complete minor repairs.
• Complete operational logs and safety documentation.
• Follow company, customer, and regulatory safety procedures.
• Promptly report safety concerns and equipment issues.
• Support switching crews and other site operations as required.
