About The Position
Defence Construction Canada (DCC) is seeking a Translator-Reviser to join our evolving Translation Services team. This is a collaborative group of professionals that thrives on producing high-quality timely work and that values professionalism, teamwork, and personal growth. The role requires bilingualism and offers a 100% remote or hybrid work environment, with the option to work in the Ottawa office two days a week.
Requirements
- University degree in translation or related field
- At least four years in editing, translation and use of translation software, preferably in an agency setting
- Professional working knowledge of translation software and terminology management databases
- Professional working knowledge of current translation trends and best practices
- Professional working knowledge of project- and client-management best practices
Responsibilities
- Translate and review texts for DCC service lines and business units
- Perform translation quality control to ensure concordance, accuracy, clarity, etc.
- Support development and maintenance of a comprehensive terminology management database
- Support development and implementation of innovative translation processes
- Stay up to date with DCC-related terminology
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal clients, external suppliers and networks
