Translator / Interpreter - ARABIC - ON-CALL POSITION (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

About The Position
Translates verbal or written communications from English to Arabic or from Arabic language to English. This is an on-call position for the 2026-2027 school year, with increased pay rates funded through a community-approved override guaranteed through June 2031.
Requirements
- Three years experience in an Interpreter/Translator capacity.
- Must be able to demonstrate expertise and competency in interpreting and translating.
- Verbal & written communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
- Must pass the Bilingual Proficiency exam on or before the posting deadline.
- FBI fingerprint background check prior to start date.
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
- Valid Driver's license (Arizona Driver’s License required within 30 days of hire).
- MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License.
- Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of insurance compliance greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance.
