Requirements

  • Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences, public, or business administration, or job-related field and one year of directly related experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting, advising, and engaging prospective students through strategic outreach initiatives and events.
  • Skilled in planning and coordinating recruitment campaigns for prospective students, parents, academic counselors, and advisors from regional K-12 schools and community colleges, with particular attention to language-related programs.
  • Ability to develop effective recruitment and informational materials.
  • Ability to collaborate with campus partners across advising, enrollment, and student affairs units to strengthen outreach efforts.
  • Ability to represent academic programs at recruitment events, career fairs, and professional conferences.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with educational partners.
  • Ability to leverage enrollment and yield data to inform recruitment strategies.
  • Ability to conduct targeted outreach to students from traditionally underserved populations to support enrollment growth and student success.
  • Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.
  • Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."

Responsibilities

  • Recruits, counsels and plan events for prospective students
  • Coordinates with other CSULB departments and faculty advisors in order to improve recruitment efforts
