Transitional RN Labor and Delivery Full Time Nights
About The Position
CHA Hollywood Presbyterian (CHA HPMC), part of the CHA Health System, is seeking a Transitional RN for Labor and Delivery. The position is based in the hospital’s expanding patient tower and offers the opportunity to join a team caring for patients in the Hollywood community. Reporting to the Director of Maternal Child Health Services, the RN plans, directs, coordinates, and provides high-quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process. This is a full-time night-shift position working 12-hour shifts from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., with 36 hours per week and an FTE of 0.9.
Requirements
- Graduate of an RN training program.
- At least one year of recent Labor and Delivery experience for candidates with prior RN experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work in a union environment.
- For candidates with one or more years of RN experience: current California RN license, American Heart Association BLS card, American Heart Association ACLS card, American Heart Association NRP certification, and Advanced FHM.
- For new graduate RNs: current California RN license, American Heart Association BLS card, and American Heart Association ACLS card.
- For new graduate RNs: obtain American Heart Association NRP certification within six months of hire, Intermediate FHM within six months of hire, and Advanced FHM within one year of hire.
- Current Los Angeles County Fire Card required within 30 days of employment.
