Come as you are and achieve better lives as part of the St. Louis Arc family of individuals in this vital part-time role of Transition Advisor - $19/hour. The Transition Advisor will work with individuals in a one to one ratio as well as facilitate virtual group classes on weekday afternoons/evenings between the hours of 1:00 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. depending on supported individuals availability (scheduled roughly 5-10 hours/week). Staff must reside around the Saint Louis Metro area to be eligible for this role.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred, preferably in education, human studies or a related field
2+ years working with transition age individuals (teens and young adults) with varying support needs
Impeccable interpersonal skills
Good intentions
Compassion to help people

Nice To Haves

Teaching and presentation skills also a plus

Responsibilities

Empower people to live their best life by providing inclusive and family centered supports
Manage caseload with required 1:1 virtual sessions
Provide personalized support that is aligned with programmatic goals and outcomes
Implement and modify curriculum for classes
Facilitate and/or co-facilitate classes based on setting goals, navigating resources and increasing independence
Complete monthly evaluations for each individual on caseload
Maintain and update activities and resources focused on transition-aged individuals
