Transit Technology Administrator
About The Position
The Transit Technology Administrator is responsible for the administration, coordination, and lifecycle management of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and transit technology platforms across Niagara Transit. This role focuses on system oversight, vendor coordination, project delivery, and ensuring the availability and performance of onboard and back‑office transit technologies, including CAD/AVL, fare and payment systems, radio communications, CCTV, and mobile connectivity. This position does not supervise staff or perform physical work on vehicles, instead it acts as the technical lead, coordinator, and liaison between IT, Maintenance, Operations, other stakeholders and external vendors to ensure transit technology systems are reliable, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. The role focus is on system implementation, vendor management, and ITS lifecycle support.
