About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Transit Engineering Summer Intern to be based in our Austin, TX office. This position is expected to begin May/June 2026. Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional. Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study. Intern 2 – completion of second year of qualified study.

Requirements

Candidate must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions.
Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
Must have completed two years of study in the applicable program.

Nice To Haves

Proficient with AutoCAD and MicroStation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
