About The Position

Provide dispatch support services for a variety of Transit Operations at the University of Wyoming. This role supports Paratransit (complementary ADA transportation), UW Roundup (fixed route bus service), and SafeRide (alternate night and weekend public transportation). The position offers flexible scheduling, ideal for college students or those needing flexibility, with the option to work one or both services. Pay ranges from $14.00 - $14.50/hr, with competitive pay raises and paid training.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Must be 18 years of age
Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP
Must be able to comply with the University Drug & Alcohol Policy.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening. Random drug and/or alcohol screenings will be required and will occur on scheduled shifts.
Pass required background check

Responsibilities

Quickly and accurately obtain and disseminate information from phone and radio communications simultaneously.
Answer/respond to phone calls & email messages from customers.
Relay information to drivers by means of mobile radio communication.
Make multiple entries into a computerized dispatch system and/or other electronic software.
Schedule rides for passengers and dispatch drivers to those calls for service.
Assign equipment and vehicles to drivers.
Document information received from riders, drivers, & supervisors.
Cash handling including depositing & reconciling daily fares.
Other administrative duties as assigned
