Kimley-Horn's Seattle, Washington (WA) office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 7+ years of experience to join their Transit team. The selected candidate will contribute to the production and delivery of transit design projects with a particular focus on, but not limited to Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) projects. The qualified individual will assist in managing and lead a Transit team while building and managing relationships with key clients. This role requires an entrepreneurial spirit, creating a vision for growth in their personal practice while contributing to the growth of the transportation engineering practice in the local area and beyond. The role involves marketing and business development efforts with existing local municipal, state, and private clients, and delivering a wide variety of transit related projects with a growing team of transit professionals. Various tasks may include corridor concept development, assistance in public outreach, and transit evaluation. This role will require a high degree of multi-disciplinary coordination. Project Managers manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor. The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business.
