About The Position

North American Stamping Group (NASG) is seeking a Transfer Press Operator for their 2nd shift. This role is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a stamping press to produce stamped parts, with a primary focus on safety, quality, and efficient production techniques. The operator will utilize NASG Press standards and procedures, and is expected to have a continuous improvement attitude, willing to adopt new ideas and skills using TQPS principles. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED minimum.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrated basic math skills.
  • 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a dynamic and demanding team.
  • Accurate, efficient, & proactive in daily duties.
  • Ability to conduct basic maintenance or mechanical activities as required.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace.
  • Accountable, teachable, and approachable.
  • Ability to learn, make decisions, and be creative & flexible.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours.

  • Previous experience in an assembly / manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate a stamping press producing stamped parts.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work station (5-S).
  • Initiate press start-up and adjust as required after a set-up.
  • Perform changeover and set-up of stamping dies and presses.
  • Adjust process parameters as dictated from the Die Set-up sheet.
  • Set-up and adjust auxiliary equipment such as coil feeders and straighteners.
  • Perform part inspections per Inspection Instructions, including visual inspections.
  • Report updated information from Die Set-up sheets to Leaders as needed.
  • Verify production schedule using the Shop Edge system.
  • Report all quality, production, or safety problems to the Team Leader.
  • Perform and maintain 5-S standards in the area of responsibility.
  • Suggest methods of improvement.
  • Be available for overtime as required.

Benefits

  • $750 Signing Bonus: $300 paid after 90 days of employment, $450 paid after 180 days of employment for new hourly employees who complete consecutive weeks of service.
