The Transfer Admissions Counselor is responsible for coordinating and implementing transfer student recruitment strategies, enrollment initiatives, and partnerships designed to increase undergraduate transfer enrollment and support student success. This role serves as a front-line representative of Boise State, providing direct support to prospective transfer students and their families. It requires a strong understanding of university programs, services, and policies, along with a positive approach and a clear commitment to higher education. Responsibilities include responding to information requests, offering individualized advising, explaining admissions policies, and leading presentations for visiting students and families. The role includes some travel to community colleges, transfer fairs, and key recruitment areas. Providing timely, accurate, and supportive customer service to students, families, and community college staff is essential. The Transfer Admissions Counselor serves as a front-line representative of Boise State, building relationships with prospective transfer students and their families through advising, presentations, and personalized outreach. This role manages a recruitment territory, travels to key markets, and uses student data and trends to inform outreach efforts and support enrollment goals. You’ll have the opportunity to make a direct impact by helping transfer students navigate the transition to Boise State and continue their academic journey. The role offers a mix of travel, relationship-building, and collaboration, all within a team committed to service and student success. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
