Mitchell College seeks to hire an Admissions Counselor who will be responsible for the implementation of recruitment activities and strategies to meet the institution’s new student enrollment goals, in a highly competitive environment. Reporting to the Executive Director of Admissions, the Admissions Counselor is responsible for all aspects of outreach, recruitment and the admissions process for new students to the college, and must represent the college with the utmost of professionalism at all times. The primary goal is to recruit students, in a highly individualized manner that includes building exceptional relationships with prospective students and families, establishing and leveraging referral networks and pipelines to promote the college, including school counselors, independent consultants, and community-based organizations. Additionally, this position will ensure a seamless transition for prospective students through all phases of the recruitment process, including application, decision, enrollment and new student orientation. The Admissions Counselor will be expected to collaborate on and execute innovative recruitment strategies, in addition to the College’s traditional efforts. Recruitment activities include off-campus recruitment events, campus-based events and programs, virtual programming, tele-recruiting and digital outreach. The position requires someone who is capable of working with a high level of autonomy to successfully expand Mitchell College’s recruitment efforts in the assigned territory.
