About The Position
George Junior Republic (GJR) is seeking an experienced Part-Time Transcriptionist to support the psychiatry department. The Transcriptionist is responsible for transcribing audio files for the organization's psychiatrist/medical staff.
Requirements
- Experience as a transcriptionist.
- Ability to use transcription tools, such as foot pedals, software, and other word processing programs.
- Ability to stay abreast of medical terminology.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, and walk.
- Must be able to hear through the headphones of the transcription machine.
Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe audio recordings, such as dictations, into written or digital documents.
- Use transcription tools, such as foot pedals, software, and other word processing programs to enhance productivity.
- Complete transcription in a timely manner.
- Review transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors to ensure a high-quality product.
- Stay abreast of medical terminology used to complete job tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Other duties as assigned.
