About The Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Transcription team to recruit a new Transcriptionist. Our Team receives dictations from clinical staff working with patients accessing mental health services. We type or proof read and edit these dictations and add the finished script to the patient’s medical record, ready for the clinician to validate. Our Transcriptionists work from their own homes, with our equipment, and we provide a 24 hour service, across all seven days of the week. For this recruitment we are only looking to hear from applicants who can specifically work: · Thursday day shift 11am – 7pm · Friday nightshift 9pm – 7am · Sunday day shift 5pm – 9pm There will be opportunities to cover holidays and sickness, however any additional hours would be likely but not guaranteed. All Transcriptionists will be appointed on NTW Solutions Ltd terms and conditions (not NHS terms). NTW Solutions Limited is proud to provide services to the NHS. Requirements

  • Ideally, you will have experience of working in the NHS
  • Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A good understanding of English grammar
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Be confident with IT equipment
  • Accuracy, dedication and flexibility are essential as this is a 24/7 service operating 365 days per year with set turnaround times for work and high quality standards.
  • Applicants must be able to travel to Monkwearmouth Hospital in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, to collect and return equipment, and for meetings / other ad hoc reasons as needed.
  • The ability to travel independently is essential.
  • Applicants must have a fast and reliable internet connection
  • Applicants must have space within their home to allow comfortable, effective and safe home working.

Responsibilities

  • Audio typing (at least 50wpm – this will be tested as part of the interview process)
