About The Position
This individual transcribes medical dictation to provide a permanent record of patient care, types miscellaneous reports, and files and retrieves slides and reports, in support of Pathology services in the laboratory.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Accurate typing skills of at least 50 wpm
- At least one year related experience and/or transcription training, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Basic knowledge of computer terminals and printer usage
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with hospital information systems preferred
