About The Position

The Transcon Agent, Inbound supports domestic inbound operations by creating import files, managing shipment events and appointments, dispatching shipments, and monitoring GPS loads and trucks. The role ensures shipment paperwork, seals, GPS units, house air waybills, and shipments are properly assigned and loaded, while following customer procedures and escalating issues when necessary. The agent is expected to meet company KPI standards, comply with company policies and regulations, and complete 52 hours of training yearly. The position also involves promoting the company’s cultural attributes and attending branch meetings.

Requirements

• Six months to one year of related experience in domestic operations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• A proven history of providing exceptional customer service at all levels.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with a professional attitude.
• A positive attitude and background supported by compliments from customers and coworkers.
• Strong MS Office skills, including Excel and OneNote.

Nice To Haves

• Operations or industry knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create import files.
• Use the Transcon DDL workflow and other tools to ensure shipments have the proper events in files.
• Request and update delivery appointments when needed, and update expected delivery dates for shipments that do not require appointments based on arrival.
• Dispatch shipments in a timely manner based on arrival and appointments.
• GPS loads and monitor trucks.
• Ensure paperwork, seals, and GPS units are assigned before GPS shipments are picked up.
• Ensure all HAWBs and shipments are loaded on the correct trucks.
• Follow customer procedures as outlined in DLSOPS.
• Escalate problems to management when necessary.
• Follow company policies and regulations with integrity and pride.
• Meet KPI standards in accordance with company procedures.
• Complete 52 hours of training yearly and attend branch meetings.
• Promote the company’s cultural attributes.
