About The Position

Harrison Street is looking for an Analyst Intern to join its Transactions team for a 10-week internship. Interns will support the Transactions team by conducting financial analysis, cash flow modeling, investment research, and property reviews. The program includes a property tour, mentorship from executive leadership, and individual projects. Harrison Street's portfolio includes alternative property types such as senior housing, student housing, self-storage, healthcare properties, and life science buildings, as well as social infrastructure assets. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, excellent communication abilities, and proven research capabilities. They must be a self-starter, capable of managing time effectively across multiple tasks, adapting to changing priorities, and meeting tight deadlines. This internship is open to rising Juniors in the 2026-2027 school year.

Requirements

Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree – Real Estate and/or Finance concentrations (or strong interest in real assets) preferred.
Core knowledge of finance and accounting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Highly motivated, organized, and self-directed individual eager to learn all facets of transactions and asset management.
Must be a junior in college to apply.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparation of Investment Committee presentations.
Analyze, prepare and update financial models for potential and existing transactions.
Analyze economic, demographic, and other market information for each development area, as needed, including recent trades and leasing data.
Compile and update databases on development opportunities, potential acquisitions, and the status of each deal.
Assist in preparation of investor pitch books.
Assist in analysis of refinancing and derivative debt instruments.
Other duties as assigned.
