About The Position

The Transactional Finance, Senior Associate executes transactional finance activities across the procure-to-pay (P2P) lifecycle, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial transaction processing while supporting operational workflows, resolving issues, and maintaining data integrity. Working with general guidance, the role applies established processes and procedures to support consistent results and effective service delivery within GBTC.

The position supports financial execution for research and development activities, including lab consumables, capital equipment, and operating expenses, as well as workflows for Healthcare Community (HCP-related) and Non-HCP engagements. The role works with stakeholders and teams across HCC, sourcing, accounts payable, and finance, and provides guidance to stakeholders and less experienced team members. It also contributes to audit and compliance activities, process improvements, automation initiatives, and team onboarding and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of P2P processes and transactional finance operations.
• Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP, Ariba, Anaplan, or C3.
• Understanding of SOPs, controls, and compliance requirements.
• One of the following education and experience combinations: master's degree; bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience; associate's degree and 6 years of relevant experience; or high school diploma/GED and 8 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute P2P transactions, including requisition support, purchase order creation, invoice validation, payment processing, and expense tracking.
• Ensure transactions are accurate, complete, and timely in alignment with SLAs and established processes.
• Support financial execution for R&D activities, including lab consumables, capital equipment, and OPEX.
• Process transactions supporting Healthcare Community (HCP-related) and Non-HCP engagements.
• Resolve moderately complex transactional issues, including invoice, payment, and vendor-data discrepancies; investigate and escalate more complex issues as needed.
• Communicate with stakeholders to resolve questions and ensure continuity of operations.
• Use enterprise systems such as SAP, Ariba, Anaplan, and C3 to execute and track transactions.
• Maintain accurate and complete system data, including in C3, and partner with technical teams to identify and resolve system issues.
• Generate and review reports to support operational tracking and accuracy.
• Partner with HCC, sourcing, AP, and finance teams to support transaction processing.
• Support execution of HCP and Non-HCP engagement workflows.
• Provide stakeholders with guidance on transactional processes and requirements.
• Adhere to established SOPs, controls, and compliance requirements; maintain accurate documentation and system records.
• Support audit and compliance activities as required and identify and escalate risks or issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve day-to-day efficiency and accuracy, support process improvements and automation, and help maintain consistency across teams.
• Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members; assist with onboarding and process documentation; share knowledge and best practices.
