About The Position

Create, update, review, organize, and maintain training records and documentation to verify that squadron personnel and students satisfy training and currency requirements. This role involves updating data in government-mandated systems and locally developed databases, reviewing and updating student/permanent party records, and coordinating with scheduling to ensure crewmembers meet training requirements. The specialist will administer classes, task evaluations, and exams, perform weekly gradebook checks, and prepare training/testing plans. They will also provide weekly updates to squadron leadership on flight and readiness status, coordinate with the scheduling officer to maximize training opportunities, and provide daily tracking of upgrade and continuation training accomplishment. Additionally, the role assists in developing new curriculum and syllabi and generates specific deliverables such as AF Form 4324, training aids, and monthly aircrew qualification summaries.

Requirements

  • Secret Clearance required
  • Military technical training in related field.
  • Two years' experience working in a squadron (CAF FS/USAFWC/ASOS), group, or wing training program.
  • Two Years' experience using an Air Force scheduling program.
  • Two Years' experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints.
  • Ability to generate effective oral and written presentations and proposals on complex subjects.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials.

Responsibilities

  • Update data in assigned, Government-mandated systems and locally developed computer database systems.
  • Review and update student/permanent party records, folders, and grade books per applicable Air Force Instructions (AFIs)/Air Force Manuals (AFMANs), associated Major Commands (MAJCOM) Installation supplements, and locally developed guidance.
  • Coordinate with scheduling to ensure crewmembers are scheduled for AFI directed or pre-deployment training requirements.
  • Administer classes, task evaluations, and exams.
  • Perform weekly individual gradebook checks of personnel training and ancillary training requirements.
  • Prepare and execute periodic training/testing plans for approval and scheduling.
  • Provide weekly updates to squadron leadership containing the flight and readiness status of personnel.
  • Coordinate with scheduling officer to maximize training opportunities IAW unit leadership guidance and to ensure scheduling and training are consistent with AFIs/AFMANs.
  • Provide daily tracking of upgrade and continuation training accomplishment for the Unit Operations Supervisor (or equivalent), as well as weekly summaries for the DO.
  • Assist in the development of new curriculum and syllabi for aircrew and ground training.
  • Generate AF Form 4324, Aircraft Assignment/Aircrew Qualification Worksheet.
  • Generate training aids as directed by the unit training officer.
  • Generate monthly aircrew qualification level summary (also known as the "Letter of X's").
