About The Position

This role conceptualizes and develops tools to help support training programs, researches, designs and develops programs to improve the overall learning experience, and works with materials management to reduce the cost of procuring services including hosting Requests for Proposal for training department goods and services. The Training Specialist will analyze problems and prescribe solutions regarding curriculum development, training and professional development, ensure training data is current and accurate in training systems per company policy and per Federal Aviation Regulations Part 135, and generate, review and distribute training reports to help identify gaps in employee training requirements. This role also performs scheduling of training, training rooms, supplies and any other requirements for running a training program, selects appropriate training methods or activities (e.g. simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, employee development classes), allocates available training to employees and provides necessary information about sessions, maintains an updated curriculum database, and maintains and updates training records.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree required or 10+ years performing similar functions within an aviation training environment experience in lieu of education.
  • Internal position - currently employed in the PHI Health's Aviation Ops Department.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing and competing priorities
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyze data and make recommendations based on information
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in MS Office products
  • Familiar with Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events
  • Knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
  • Knowledge of learning management and documentation systems

Responsibilities
