About The Position

The Training Specialist will be responsible for designing and implementing EHR and other clinical support system training for all new staff, faculty, and incoming students and residents, including new hires and incoming class orientations. The Specialist will also provide ongoing training to the current GSDM community upon request. This role involves creating all training materials tailored to the trainee's specific role, such as training manuals, handouts, classroom-based training, and online training development. Additionally, the Specialist will track trainee progress, provide follow-up training, create assessment materials, and deliver progress reports to trainees' direct reports to ensure success and identify performance gaps. The Training Specialist will serve as a key point of contact for GSDM's EHR and other clinical operating systems, acting as a 'superuser' for current and future systems. They will be an integral part of the EHR working group and assist in leading the implementation of new data systems for the GSDM clinical team. The role also includes assisting with other clinical training initiatives as directed by the Office of Clinical Affairs, utilizing university and/or outside platforms like the patient portal, ticketing system, PowerBI, SPS, and SAP.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of experience
